The metal is sterling silver  which has been gold plated, the English term for this is silver gilt, in the USA it is called vermeil.

Caps for half drilled beads to glue in suggest using Devcon 2 part epoxy dries clear. As long as your bead hole is no larger than 2.8mm diameter and no larger than 6mm this bead cap will fit. For larger sizes of bead it would look better with a larger cap.

Size approx: 2.8mm diameter cap x 5.7mm tall. Ridged rod to glue into bead  is .6mm diameter, 2.7mm long. Jump ring hole size 1.3mm
